haha,.. its been a long while since i blogged! haha..

oks!

lots to talk abt! haha.. Last sat.
Went for west winds prac... ito yasuhide came down... pretty funny guy.. haha.. tough prac also... after...
.. went to celebrate my sis(Kim) birthday... actually took photos but cant seem to get it on my comp... hopefully can get it soon.. haha.. was a good dinner bah

Monday came and went out with Xvan... First went to Choa Chu Kang.. wanted to visit Kenrick.. but we couldnt find him.. we searched like everywhere la.. but really couldnt.. so we sorta gave up after a while...to onli find out that the place we were suppose to go was somewhere else.. haha... ok... so we went to Vivo in the evening... really dint know where to eat... went everywhere there and couldnt decided.. but we decided on the Seah Im food court opposite... suppose to be pretty good...
Not bad bah.. We ate Hokkien Mee, duck Rice and Roti John.. haha.. the most sinful food but yums!. haha.

Tues, Wed, Thurs mainly at home.. evenings were dedicated to west winds prac with Ito...

Friday was rest day for me...onli went to tamp to pay for my electone exxam fees.. haha....

So i slept really late on friday nite.. around 2.30am.. wahha.. and sat woke up at 7!

CONCERT DAY!!
woke up at 7am.. coz i had to go down to HSC alumni band prac...then left earli for reshearsal at esplanade...

k so as we waited at the backstage door-James said, "everyone, it's full house today" haha..

and concert started..saw my Hai Sing juniors at the front row! haha...yah we all we kinda high liao! haha...k, so some of my solos a little screwed up and kena insulted by someppl.. but overall most ppl dint know i screwed up..
after our last song....3 1/2 encores.. amazing hor. yes we prepared 3 encores.. haha... and everyone was like shouting for more.. haha..

and finally a standing ovation.... is serious.. something i dint expect... the front section of the hall stood up and clapped...it was great...

we left the stage and gathered at the back.. AiLin said we were given the go ahead for another esplanade concert next yr! wohoo!

concert was great...one of the best i've had so far too...

k, so shall update about my week..

Monday, Went out to watch 10,000BC at The Cathay.. haha.. not too bad the movie i guess.. just a bit dry movie.. haha... then had dinner at Bk at marina square.. and went to walk at Esplanade...

Wed, went to grandma's house.. Aunty Putul was there.. then guess wad we went to macs for dinner.. haha.. not a very usual place..haha..Oh and yes i got my 2nd Sem results...
Pretty please with it.. coz i onli expected to get all Ds(just passes)coz i dint really study coz i am not contiunuing poly anymore.

so i got posted to my First choice- HR.. seems like my class did pretty ok also... most of them happen to end up in HR also and in the same class.. how strange..

haha... just wheni am about to leave, i get this results.. haha...well at least i can graduate happily.. haha

went out with Xvan on thurs, walked at Bugis,..and walked to Dhouby Ghaut, then to orchard.. shopping.. we both bought t sirts.. haha... then had dinner at Food Republic ..so we burnt all that fat by walking from orchard back to Dhouby Ghaut... haha...

Good friday was a good break for me...

Today.. nothing much de... onli going for West Winds Prac tonight...this coming week will be kinda busy....

Ito Yasuhide is coming down for prac tml... and i gotta be there by 10am! wah!!..prac is like 10am-6pm

and tues, wed, thurs night.

k, so shall update wad else i have been doing over the week.. hmmz...Thursday, met Xvan in the afternoon then for dinner... went to Siam Kitchen to eat.. settled for the alacate buffet.. wow.. i was so full... hahas... then went to walk walk around...

saw Joachim then Able along the way also.. hahas..

friday, went down to HSC to do the stock check in band.. then went with LiHong and Jian Jun to watch Rule#1... ppl! its a super dumb show.. dun go and watch! haha.. i found out that (like me a little) Jian Jun is also scared of horror films.. haha..

today had west winds prac.. after that met my family at IKEA-TAMPINES...yup had dinner there.. met god-sis Jerblinn and Gerad... then to a sudden surprise.. someone suddenly called me.. and put down the phone.. then this girl came up to me and said hi... hahas...i think its one of my students from Ngee Ann Band... hmmz.. wonder how she got my number.. haha..

oh wells.. its good to be known sometimes.. gave me a good feeling when she told her parents who i was.. lol..(i am not being ego-istic!)

so we bought some stuff like A shelf for my sis's room and stuff
then we adjourned to Giant after shopping at IKEA.
k, so lots of stuff there ,,electronics , clothes, food of coz... i decided to initiate buying some clothes for myself to my parents..

and of coz they were surprised and agreed to letting me choose what i wanna buy... i got this gree-white strips t shirt.. which my mum said is cute.. and black jeans which my sis said "looks almost like skinnies" ok.. i decided to buy this particular REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY tight jeans... i jsut hope the buckle does not burst... coz i want a nice fitting jeans but knowing that all jeans will expand... so i dint want to wear baggy jeans....

k.. but knowing that i can fit into this current size, which i was many years ago... hehe.. i am happy to say i must have lost weight.. wohoo.. sadly it doesnt really show in my full appearence... i gotta lose more weight!,...well not more weight but the flabs! wahah.. k.. i hope army comes soon.. that will really help...

like wad a friend told me b4.. BMT(army) is a free sliming centre.. haha! really optimistic.. how i wished i was that opt..haha..

wow look at the time. it 230! wohoo.. k better get to sleep or else when i wake up, half the day is gone! haha...

hi all.. its been 6 days since i last posted...

kk.. so have been going down to Hai Sing Band the last few days to help out...I must say i am personally proud of the band in general for the progress they are making... yup... even after the sec 4s have stepped down.. u all are sounding good.... kepp it up...keep on working hard and u will do very well... just dont detioriate...

hmm..but... as the band is progressing.. i am a little disappointed with my bassoons and bass clars...MY LOWERWINDS AR!! haiyo... the band is improving.. u are expected to improve as well! so dun think u are good enough.. no one is....(neither am i for the matter of fact) so dun be too comfortable with ur practices and think after every prac u managed to scrape through the session of playing..

Not to mention the attendance of the few of u! with the new committee coming up Bassoon and Bass Clar is formally known as LowerWinds section...so wad ever happens to one of the instruments, it matters to the whole section...

for now, attendance is not good... u know the few i am talking about...YES... this has got to stop... if u dont want to come for band.. then quit.. dont waste time... really y waste ur time trying to lie under everyone's noses and pretend that u are sick... when ultimatelty u just wanna stay home and slack, or go shopping...if u are just here to collect CCA points, then join something else which dont require as much commitment....i'm serious.. coz although band is a CCA... we want to everyone to make sure that 110% is put into it and with EFFORT, u will reap vicotry... so its either u put in ur all or not...

next, as the weeks go by, u guys need to build up on ur tone and techincality... especially bassoons... with the additional pressure of ensuring u are in tune all the time... well thats just how the instrument is built.. so it takes more effort than just putting air in ur reed..
The lowerwinds sect has to start working on ur air... i usually emphasize this during sectionals that u guys need to play louder... y? coz even though ur parts(mostly bass parts) are being doubled by other sections, the purpose of the lowerwinds section is to help the band sound more symphonic... or else we are pretty redundent...
so ifu cant be heard clearly.. then its pointless to play on ur instrument...

k, this is just general pointers and hopefully i can help u all more when i come down to help out...pls work hard... there are 3 big projects this year for u all..ANNUAL CONCERT, NBC, & INTERNATIONAL BAND COMPETITION... not something to take likely... they all HAVE.. and i repeat.. HAVE to be performed well and not anyhow...

as the saying goes, the band is as strong as its weakest member...its a cliche... but pls du not be the weakest member... and not among the weakest... always strive for being the best... thats how u grow... i'm not talking about being showy and arrogant that u are the best performer in the band,.. but if u aim to be better than others, thats how u progress and do well...

last few days nothing really terribly much...yest, went to Vivo with my mum, A.Catherine, her 2 daughters and maids.. went to Marche to makan for lunch. then after went for west winds prac.. k.. so sat and sun managed to go through the whole concert rep.
Tired of coz..

so today. morning went down to hai sing band...then went for lunch with LiHong and Jian Jun... then rushed down to YCk for my driving Advance theory test... it was raining and i dint bring unbrella! ah i was so wet and late for my test!...

so i sat in there.. started my test.. nervous and all.. and guess wad i wasnt as bold as some to end my test when i was done. but i wated and i was the last person in the class! then i ended the test.. clicked on "end test"
"PASSED"

PHEW!!!

Hi all...

its been abt 5 days since i blogged...today was NS medical check-up...

dunno how to explain it...i was there so early b4 the thing open. and to onli find out that i wasnt fully registered... anyway resovled the problem and could do my medical..

The normal stuff, Blood test, ENT, heart scan, teeth, and IQ test...just wasnt too pleased with how some of the ppl spoke during the examination process i guess.. i mean maybe coz its army.

just a general question which i thought to myself during the medical..as in i guess it applies to everywhere like schools and stuff... Does rudeness(which may potray being feirce) result to responsive discpline?
coz even when i was teaching in the school..to get a rebellious or tyrant student to listen ;u gotta be fierce with them.
But now that i realise it its onli a handful but coz of them everyone else kena the fierce attitude...
But that being a minority group.. the rest would respond well if u are just civil with them..

haiz... wad is the world coming to!?

A level results today...hmm.. wonder how my batch ppl did...

hey all

yesterday went with a few of my poly band friends for movie...First met Sar, Kheeyang and jerold at somerset MRT... went to cineliesure. Wanted to watch Ps I Love You. but it was sold out... ah! and the next movie is too late....

so we decided to try for Plaza Sing.... so walked there.. and halfway it started to rain like mad... we still havent crossed the Istana area yet.. so we ran in the rain. haha... ok, not so bad lahz...(just really wet) Kheeyang funny sia.. in his slippers...

Then went to check te movie times.. AND! they dun have the movie..coz onli cathay has it! AH!!!! so Picturehouse was nearby.. but no shelter there.... so it was round 2 of rain run! ahah..

finally got there.. and guess wad! dun have tickets! ah!!!

k, so dint know wad movie now.. KY suggested KiteRunner.. no one knew wad the ,ovie wwas about at all.. but we bought it anyway...
Esther and Yvonne joined us eventually...

The MOvie was great man.. serious movie about a rich afgan boy and his servant best friend who later found out there were brothers.. really good.. should go watch....

after the movie went to Carls Jnr for dinner.. wah so full lahz...
